To Hack and Back

(Tiny Crumbs)

Wired’s Lore Sjöberg humorously and deftly exposes the household-hints column behind the curtain of Gawker Media’s Lifehacker. Why “Lifehacker”? “Geeks can’t admit that anything worthwhile was invented before 1981,” Sjöberg writes. “Soon, ‘making cocoa’ will be called ‘milk hacking.’” (For MST3K fans, this re-raises the question: what the hell is “side-hacking”?)

Elsewhere in the Gawker family: Do you receive, or spend, money? They you should be reading Consumerist pretty much every day.
