Someone Else of Arcadia
’Bred Alerts, 01.06.06 - 01.10.06
Imminent arrivals (all times Pacific; actually recommended things highlighted like this*):
TV
Stargate SG-1 * (SciFi, Fri. 01.06, 8 p.m.; half-season premiere) The only current show that lets us watch Ben Browder (and soon, Claudia Black once again) is back with 10 new episodes. And remember, anytime someones says "Hallowed are the Ori," drink.
The Book of Daniel (NBC, Fri. 01.06, 9 p.m.; 2-hour series premiere) Ordinarily, I wouldn’t pay any attention to this new talks-to-God-and/or-Jesus series. But the American Family Association hates it, which is about the biggest endorsement possible.
Battlestar Galactica (SciFi, Fri. 01.06, 10 p.m.; half-season premiere) The shakiest camera crew in the universe returns. Space battles will be shown entirely in snap zooms. Supermodels will talk about God. Eyeglasses will be wielded dramatically. Yeah, this one’s a skosh overrated.
Emily’s Reasons Why Not (ABC, Mon. 01.09, 9 p.m.; series premiere) Heather Graham was surprisingly enjoyable in her stint on Scrubs. Still … (The same cannot be said for Tara Reid.)
Movies
Hostile (in theaters 01.07) I mean, Hostel. "Whoops."
BloodRayne (in theaters 01.07) That title just screams quality, doesn’t it?
DVD
The Flash (available 01.10) A short-lived series from back when superheroes were amiable, not messed up.
The Transporter 2 (available 01.10) The first one was surprisingly watchable. From me, for an action movie, that’s a rave.
The Chumscrubber and The Constant Gardner (available 01.10) If you hate your job, this double feature might be a pick-me-up.
Music
Morningwood, Morningwood (in stores 01.10) Heh heh. They said wood.

BSG overrated?
It’s the best show on television. Sci-Fi or otherwise. :P
Glad to see the new version of the site up. For a minute, or day, it looked new. Then old. Then new again.
I want to like the Morningwood (heh) song thanks to the way too catch chorus, but it loses way too many points for repeatedly spelling out the band name.
